Food to me always evokes memories and pleasure. We can all remember that amazing meal on holiday in a restaurant overlooking an azure ocean or the pleasure of biting into the most perfect moist brownie as it melts on your tongue.
I can also still remember the smell of the Yorkshire puddings cooking in beef dripping in my Grandmas tiny little galley kitchen in her terraced house in
Leeds, the food that was produced in that tiny space was truly amazing and we would all gather around the table at Christmas with the emergency chairs up from the cellar and my Grandad dressing up as father Christmas after dinner. My cousins and I really believed he was the real thing.

Cooking and sharing food with family and friends is to me is an act of love and caring, food to me is more than sustenance, it is a pleasure to savour and I love to experiment with new and interesting recipes using seasonal food as much as possible. Whenever I have dinner parties I always provide a massive round sharing board as a starter filled with charcuterie cheeses pastries and salads this is always a talking point and enables guests who don’t know each other to relax and chat whilst taking time to enjoy their food.
My other love apart from my family and friends is travelling and I adore experimenting and trying new cuisines from around the world.

I got married on a beach in Bali and discovered the amazing cuisine that the East has to offer and have travelled many times to this part of the world since and taken a number of cooking courses.
My youngest son has inherited my love of travel and good food and two years ago spent a year in Australia and Japan. As he wasn’t going to be home for Christmas I decided to go and visit him for two weeks at the beginning of December.

When I arrived in Sydney, I immediately fell in love with the place, the vibe and the people and wow the food.
The first evening Jacob and I went to the iconic Opera Bar under the shadow of the famous Opera House and shared a stunningly fresh seafood platter, the sun was setting over the Harbour bridge to our right there was a cruise ship just leaving jazz music was playing everything was just perfect, it is certainly a moment I will never forget.
Sharing and grazing platters are huge in Australia and they certainly know exactly how to do them, the freshness of the produce and the seasonality of the fruit and vegetables makes them a feast for the eyes as well as the taste buds. Whist in the Hunter Wine region we sampled a meat sharing platter that was all cooked on a massive open fire pit, I have never tasted steak as good as that in my life.

The Australians love of grazing and sharing platters made me think would this be something I could turn into a business concept. However, I wanted mine to be different. The market seems to be saturated with companies providing cheese and biscuit platters but I wanted to provide a platter that showcases homemade food, made with love, and using only the very best ingredient's, a sharing platter that is actually a meal, not just a graze, I never let people leave my house without feeling totally satisfied so wanted to provide something different and special to my customers I, therefore, created SHARE Luxury Platters. Every item my Platters is of the highest quality and I use local butchers and farms for all my ingredient's and an Italian supplier for my cured meats and Mediterranean cheeses.

Initially, I was only going to devise a Mediterranean platter showcasing all the amazing flavours from this stunning area. However, my husband doesn’t like cured meats and suggested that we also provide a British Platter containing only the very best recipes and ingredients that our country offers. The process of getting the perfect scotch egg meant my family lived off mistakes for a month!! however, the finished product is truly amazing. My best friend is vegetarian and stated that she always feels left out as she has never had a sharing platter that provided homemade tasty food for Veggies. I, therefore, strived to produce a vegetarian sharing platter that was as spectacular as my other two. In fact, I actually prefer the vegetarian scotch egg to the original one!

As people have different tastes we provide a fusion platter where you can mix and match two of our signature platters to create your own bespoke sharing platter. The Mediterranean and British fusion is extremely popular and feeds 2-4 people easily.
Our petite platters feed 1-2 people and are often bought as presents for elderly relatives especially during the difficult times with the Pandemic.
I handmake all the home-cooked items in my platters freshly on the days they are ordered. I take extreme pride in the quality appearance and presentation of each one that leaves my table. They truly are made with love.
